The FUN folder is a list of game sites.  the HAWT folder, I'll leave to your imagination. ::)

I'm imagining that it's the kind of folder where you would find pics of Starr's legs.  ;) :P

I'm on an iphone. Go to here and search for Creamer to see how many times he has visited the white house. Creamer is the guy that quit today over O'Keefe's videos. Foval is there too, but only twice.

Media Matters is run by David Brock

Media matters even had to lie about that. His fine was not $100,000 and he is not a felon. See what the disposition of the case was below:

Brock has no moral compass whatsoever.  His goal is to completely destroy the right at any cost.

So Kerry said that "they" had absolutely no involvement in Ecuador Embassy decision to restrict Assange's internet access.
Let's see how long it will take for truth to come out-?

Never fear. This time the Clintons bought search results on Google.

http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/09/13/hillary-google-bias-confirmed-experiment/

Incredible factoid -I guess every aspect of technology is fair game,..but sad part is that big and influential company like google is doing that.
It would be accepted if Clinton's [or for that matter Trump's] organizations did that via introduction of a illegal software -but for company like google
to participate in manipulation of information flow is a sad reality...

Sad but strategic.

Thanks, Logan...but what viable alternative is there to Google these days? I'd love a new default search engine that wasn't directly connected to the data capture webs in Omaha.  ;)

Startpage.com will give you some protection but it still uses google search results.

Well startpage protects you from the data collection part. You could try https://duckduckgo.com

I'm starting to think we need to bring the guillotine back.

Use a meta-search engine like Duckduckgo or Startpage / Ixquick. They will pull some of their results from google, but google will log their IP instead of yours.

Ixquick / Startpage operates out of Denmark I think, so they don't fall under the draconian US data surrender policies.  ;)
Plus you can proxy into a site for each search result.

EDIT:  Shit GS, you beat me to the punch again. ;)

Doc, check out this page. I don't agree with everything here, but it's a good start on CYA.
There are some good links for testing browser security in it too.

https://www.privacytools.io/

This is what every website you go to can see about you. No special tools needed.  https://ipleak.net/

Now, go to that site with a javascript blocker enabled.

The single most dangerous thing you can do online is run without a JS blocker.

What do you mean by viable ?  ???  Starpage / Ixquick is fully functional and usable. You lost me. Is there some specific functionality you don't want to lose, because there are alternatives to all google services.

The couple times I tried it it seemed to yield very limited results to the point where I just started using google again. Any others?

There was a time for a while when the results sucked. They were doing running upgrades and they came under very heavy attack for about 4 months straight. They are fairly quick now. When was the last time you tried them ?
I also have a list of alternative, specialty browsers somewhere that I'll try to dig up. ;)

Your rabbit holes are my clouds in the sky.

Here's a listing of a few I've used before. There are some specialty engines in here too.
Functionality ranges from barely to quite good.
Some require special setups but most don't.
These are not privacy orientated engines, more along the lines of specialty or niche engines.
