so far, it's fantastic. the amount of influence the environment has on your character and vice versa is amazing, the sand box is enormous, and the visuals are stunning. I'm pacing myself so I dont get burnt out, lol. i sure do love the spaghetti western genre.

I'm really feeling the spaghetti western influence more than in the first one. I think it's the way they have used cinematics to frame shots and landscapes like it really is a film, and the music is spot on for that genre.

I've been going fairly slowly too, but I think everyone else I know who has been playing it have just been rushing through the campaign.

a couple days ago, i litterally rode my horse around the map for 3 hours. during that time i started zero main quest story missions and ignored all 'stranger' prompts--i never got bored. amazing!

im really enjoying taking my time and immersing myself in this game world. the amount of socially interactive choices available sure makes it feel like your character is authentically living in the game world. im going to continue going slow. for my first playthrough ive been a gud boi white hat type, lol. love doing those camp chores.

I've been doing that for the most part, besides the rare horse hijacker and gang member finding themselves shot for messing with me. Oh and the occasional miss-pressed button resulting in me strangling someone when I meant to get on my horse.

I have had a couple of largish bugs come up, with the worst one being that some of my guns are missing entirely from my inventories (despite saying I own them in the gunsmith) eg the carbine repeater and sawed off shotgun.

These shots are looking like viral marketing for the The Last Of Us Part II.

Protips for people playing RDR 2 before Chapter 6's ending:

-don't do the treasure hunts because you'll lose all your money
-don't save horses at the stables
-keep an additional save before the final missions so you can go back if you want to
-finish the strangers

Steam has a lot of year end specials. F.Y.I.

WeinerInHand

A great game, and for five(?) bucks on Steam, still holds up quite well!

WeinerInHand

A lot of cheesy humor for five bucks!
Surprising depth as well.

How the UK became a major player in the gaming world
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-46757989

Maybe I'm wrong, but outside of Rockstar (which has studios everywhere and is headquartered in NYC) the UK isn't really a major player in the videogames realm - certainly not when compared to the 90s/00s when it was a dominant player.

So far so good!

It was alright story wise and graphically, but it was just an advanced "Point and Click." I'd recommend waiting for the price to drop.

I just finished it and it may be the best third person action game that I've ever played. Just amazing!
