No.
I thought something was wrong with me, that olive oil burned my throat.  But, I see it's pretty common.
I finally switched to the "less taste" version!  Olive oil is best mixed in with seasonings and food, though.

For those without a sweet tooth but likes the salt you need to get hardcore and into the "other salts." No, not the bath salts that make junkies turn into zombies and eat someone's face off but the candy and drinks of ammonia chloride- salmiak! The kind used in "salty" licorice and things. An acquired taste, perhaps, but once hooked you can't go back- even if you try anise-based, normal black licorice, etc to try to ween oneself off them or because the real stuff is harder to find in your country/region.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrkisk_Peber (warning with all, keep container sealed- attracts water and will bind to each other if left unopened, particularly if bought in the volume tins.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakrisal (good for cough drop uses, especially in the menthol variety.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammonium_chloride
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salmiakki_Koskenkorva (note there are "homemade derivatives" that one can make with vodka, doppelkorn, etc using rotgut booze and candy, popular with teens in certain countries.)
I think there is really something mood-altering and from what you say,  I'm guessing it's the chloride combo that the cherries are soaked in.  In herbalism, cherry is considered a mood lifter.  But, with marchino cherries, my mood really lifts.  Bizarre.

It's most likely just a release of endorphins because of the pleasure you experience from it. We all have certain foods that will do this to us. I find certain brands of earl grey tea do that for me.  ;)

What is your preferred brand of Earl Grey?  I like it too but have not had a lot of it. Need some recommendations.

Yeah, I've had the Bigelow.  Great stuff.  I'll have to make a note of the Metropolitan Tea Company.  Thanks!  :D  What outlets do they sell it at?  The web page says they are strictly a wholesaler.

They're Canadian (I wasn't sure about that till now) and though I've seen it at a couple stores around here I usually pick it up when I go to NOTL. They sell it at a jam store there. Maybe ask them for a list of retailers. It has the best bergamot flavor of any I've tried.

You just want to alter your mood?   Mix a cocktail.  Live a little.  Leave the door of the closet you live in open....with the light on.  Be a fucking rebel.

Just the kind that comes out of the replicator.

The marchinos were a surprise!  Wasnt seeking anything, but just noticed some sort of calming, energized feeling.  Weird!

But I do rebel against alcoholism.  Alcoholism wreaked havoc on my pancreas, heart, and digestive ability :(     If I started drinking again, eventually I would not be able to digest food (if I didn't die of alcohol poisoning first...).

I drank to manage chronic pain from a childhood injury to my spine.  But, after about 10 years, drinking became a problem instead of a solution.

When the primary smoker is not home, my door is open.😊

I also have a closet, speaking of random things.  It has been an unexpected blessing, in assisting with room climate control and air quality!  Pretty nifty.

Most of them are mediocre at best. It's not the quantity but the quality of the bergamot. The two I mentioned have the most vibrant bergamot flavor, IMHO. ;)

I agree, although I'm not sure which brand I tried.

Hillary should've been president for this event.  :D
Billary would need many handlers to participate in the "Urgent Run" for Toilet Day. I imagine she has spend many a night praying to the porcelain convenience considering her apparent hard drinking, especially after losing the election so epically, despite the cheating and fixing.

Who throws away a light saber? That’s some uncle Lohan bs right there.

Remember Library Girl, Kendra Sunderland?  She was kicked out of Oregon State University for camming  and playing with herself  in the library.  She's now cashing in by making real porn.  Turned out she had no clue she would get kicked out for pulling this stunt.

She's extremely stupid.  Just examine her twitter posts.

Just found out that there was Sea Monkeys TV Show.  Who knew?

:o

I refused to watch the video.  I will continue to believe that isn't a real thing.  Nope.  Never happened.   ;)

Solid plan.  Better to leave them as they were:

I regret not building that sweet N scale railroad set that I planned years ago.  I only think about it during the holiday season.   :(

I probably never will do it.   :-\
