Dearest Jackstar,

To the best of your knowledge, is there any validity to the DSM-5?

Kind regards,

Azzerae

Jackstar

It's really not my area. What does it say about fluoride? How do we know we're getting the right dosage? Plenty of room for an appendix.

AZZERAE

Dear Jackstar,

Do animals believe in God?

Kind regards,

Azzerae

Dear Jackstar,

In this current incarnation, what do you value most?

I don't think animals have beliefs.

Have you crossed paths with any sufferers of tardive dyskinesia?

I met a guy once in an elevator, who clearly presented that condition. I recognized it right away, as a few weeks prior, I had been prescribed a medication that had that as a side-effect--I stopped taking it after three days, as it was pretty unpleasant, and from what I read, it wasn't going to get any better. This elevator guy clearly had an advanced case, it was almost like Dance Dance Revolution in there.

I didn't comment. My body language indicated that I knew what was going on. The guy seemed quite relieved not to be judged as a spastic retard.

Isn't there a member named Astro Bitch?
What happened to her?  Wouldn't she get a warning??  Her whole thread is gone?

Nevermind.  Wrong arena.

So, I presume the uncontrollable grimacing and twitching subsided once the medication was discontinued. My follow-up however, is: how long did the side effects take to fade - if at all?

Jackstar

I was unaffected by the effect within hours. I've had worse weekends.

Then you're one of the lucky ones, Jack.

TD is said to have no cure, and can worsen progressively even once the quietiapine is stopped.

quietiapine

I didn't take that one--I forget what it was, actually, and I've no compulsion to remember so I won't bother to check. It was something that was supposed to help, and it didn't at all. This was years ago, before my oxygen problems were identified.

Don't mistake contempt for fear.

AZZERAE

Marijuana's been known to induce that.

Jackstar, i am in need of a quote or motto for a project I am working on that roughly is about learning to accept your situation and find positives. It is for a client that is having a hard time being original and authentic.

Can you provide free ideas?

And you’ve been known to induce boredom. I’ll take the weed.

AZZERAE

Dear Jackstar,

I’m sitting here, pondering the synonyms for “joy”, in order to rephrase a certain question I posed, that went unanswered.

Kind regards,

Azzerae

AZZERAE

I'm beginning to think you're Maynard James Keenan.

Jojo

For what it's worth:  Joy, contentment, glee, satisfaction, the heart lifts, gladness, euphoria, triumph, soaring heart, mirth (?), delight, reward.

https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/another-word-for/joy.html

This Word Hippo site is great because it lists synonyms, antonyms, etc... by word nuance, not just by word.  So, you put in "joy" and there are many lists depending on the type of joy.  Great website.

AZZERAE

Thanks, that’s cool!

Jackstar is a straight-up OG sage.
