The Trident D5 missile can hit anywhere in the world from U.S. coastal waters and FBMs haven’t been forward deployed for 25 years.  The ULF transmitter used by U.S. submarines is located in N. Dakota and not in the U.K.  We have demonstrated a number of times that we can launch aircraft from bases in the U.S. to strike targets in far flung countries and let’s not forget our carrier battle groups are fully capable of projecting air power and, in fact, have since WWll comprised the only real seaborne striking power that NATO has.  Believe me, the U.S. Navy’s contribution to NATO’s sea power dwarfs that of all other members combined.  I won’t even bring up the unmanned surface and subsurface weapons platforms that can remain at sea for years that have been developed to the operational prototype stage.   All things considered, I think that the necessity to maintain boots on the ground in Europe and a large naval presence to protect its sea lanes will continue to diminish.  I can see the day the U.S. can focus its attention on Eastern Europe and the Western Pacific where there are countries that appreaciate our presence and leave Western Europe to fend fend for itself

Also, one of the reasons the Traitor Senator Bob Corker is not seeking reelecton is he was a main player in ''compromising'' with Obama on the treaty.  Since Obama wasn't going to submit it to the Senate for approval, these sellouts decided he could just submit it and they'd paper over his recklessness and illegal conduct by passing a non-binding majority vote so as to avoid a Constitutional showdown.

But before even that vote, the administration presented it to the UN as a done deal.  Given the threat to our national security (not to mention it's unconstitutional status), this was treason and all involved should be tried and shot.  The unfrozen funds couldn't be re-frozen - they were gone.  The planeloads of cash couldn't be recalled.  Worst of all, the decades long process of cobbling together sanctions on Iran, which Obama removed, couldn't be put back in place (despite Obama's lies to the contrary) or the materials for making weapons and strengthening their military subsequently sold to them recalled. 

Those sanctions were put in place by Congress, Obama had no authority to remove them.

Each of these characters and their non-roles in the Trump campaign’s non-collusion with Russia will undoubtedly receive harsh criticism in a forthcoming Mueller report. I suspect that report will clear the Democrats’ threshold for impeachment. And if that is the case, the result could be a nationalized election that largely comes down to impeachment vs. a good economy.

Like all lasting conspiracies, the Great Collusion of 2016 will have its faithful. Books will be written, movies will be made and some Democrats who know better will play along to bolster their street cred among the partisan delusional. But at the end of the day, they will only get half a loaf. Nobody will be satisfied, and the Mueller probe will only serve as another reminder that America’s political system is broken.
