This was her response to someone suggesting she speak to a counselor.

It's like if I said I won't talk to a counselor unless they can understand database programming.

Keep that drama coming.  She missed her true calling.

Hell, the Waffle House is hiring.  She could try a real job.

She is more like Senda than she realizes.

She’s à much better interviewer than Noory.

Everybody i know who does radio or stage performance usés à different voice in public vs private. I dont think its à big deal.

This might not be the safeSt way to deal with grief, but I find that getting drunk or doing à lot of coke or héroïne helps. Takes some self control to know when to stop, but has made big différence for me.

What's the biggest expense on the show? Bumper music? Salaries? She should get rid of bumper music...
Or solicit freebies from indie artists...

You may be right. Although I get the impression that the people in that group are not Bellgabbers, in fact quite the opposite. They expressed resentment back when Art came back and gave Bellgab a well-deserved shoutout. They don't seem privy to a lot of the stuff discussed here, only what comes directly from MITD and Heather. Some of the recent posts are from people who claim that they didn't even listen to Art. They joined because they loved Heather's show.

So for those people, I don't get the motivation. Have they not heard a good radio show before? Does Heather simply parrot their views so they glom on? Do they truly think she's good listening?

I really wanted her to succeed early on. I liked Redacted on GabCast but she doesn't seem like the same person now (or maybe it's because we weren't seeing the whole person back in those days). I thought that maybe I wasn't "getting" something about Heather, so a while back I played a short clip of Heather on MITD for my husband. He has listened to GabCast, so he is aware of the history of Heather, but he doesn't really keep up or listen to those kinds of shows. As soon as he started listening, he wrinkled his face up and said (I'm paraphrasing) "is she trying to mimic Art Bell's voice? Wtf is this crap."

As a side note, there's always that running joke about how do you explain what BellGab is to someone who isn't in this community. I did that with my husband a while back and it was a strange conversation explaining MV, Falkie, mayo, White Crowwww, horse porn, etc., etc.  ;D

LMAO..glad I made the list..If you really wanta mess with your husband's mind. PM me a mailing address and a mens' size and I'll send you a WC Hoodie..

I think Heather may have a WC Hoodie. If remember properly, a friend of Heather requested one for her.

She has a lot in common with Senda, except Senda makes me laugh while I'm cringing, Heather just makes me cringe.  I could probably get into Heather in a "Senda" kind of way, but then you would have all the Heather supporters trying to have me arrested again.
Senda has an approach that's "I am me" at least.  Headache Weight has a hide-behind-the-mic, one-photo thing going against her.

Senda is self-important like HW but he's warts and all and admits it (often to manipulate support like Miss Heather Leona has been doing of late).  Less deceptive effort perceived.

Quote from: Father Jack on April 21, 2018, 12:56:50 PMI checked out Ms. Wade's place on Google maps. Next to Art's place way the hell out in BFE. I noticed antennas and dishes which makes me wonder if she has a broadcast studio there.
This was all hashed out in discussion of the shooter by Mr. Bell & here in late 2015.  We were poring over Google street & satellite views like it was Dealy Plaza.  The antenna farm is cx to the ham rig that Art talked extensively about on C2C (he was thwarted in his desire to install one on the roof of the high rise in Manila), and borders on what is a back road to the Bell property but a thru route for traffic.  MITD originated from Art's guest house.  The property wrapped around the cul-de-sac, so he crossed the st. to get to it.

It's just popped into my head, wasn't there a listener audience size that, if under, they did not have to pay for the licensing of those songs?

Art covered it in one of his pre-MitD rants when he was about to quit before he started. (May, 2015?)

Nice choice of the Titanic musicians.

The most meta part is the Gabcast thread here: a Web discussion board about a Webcast about a Web discussion board about a radio b'cast about weird shit.

Getting adoration must be addicting. Once it slows down you start jonesing for more, I guess.

Ok miss know-it-all.. define "jonesing" without googling it..

You know, if it was a glitter cartoon kitten with a tear, or weeping unicorn, anything but the ‘close up on the eye, tear dangling from the sweeping lashes’ (and there are many versions out there) is ... nauseating.
This is society now. A lot of people posting every detail of their lives and some of them the most intimate. It’s all about attention sadly.

Catsmile is the best. No hash tag required.

Cyber Command's 2nd reply expresses my sentiment.  Notice he doesn't contradict her thinking she's not great -- doesn't affirm it either -- but compared to Mr. Noory, she has sincerity going for her.  I do think her speaking style as of late is an affectation, but in gen'l she's genuine.  And she's not great, but not bad, either.  How good do you need to be, anyway?  Noory seems to prove you needn't be very good nor work hard.

Her self-assessment isn't bad either.  She does talk too much, still, sometimes, although not as much as she used to.
