I find it interesting that while 'liberals' want to shut down voices on the right like Kevin Williamson who was just let go by the Atlantic, I don't find 'conservatives' demanding the firing  of leftist journalists.  Who are the real liberals and the real conservatives?  What sort of message does it send to conservative writers who desire to write for a popular somewhat left-of-center magazine?  The Atlantic should have defended Kevin Williamson's right to his own opinions.  Why hire him in the first place?  Surely they knew his stance on issues like abortion.  I know if I was a conservative writer, I'd think twice before joining the staff of a magazine like the Atlantic.

This is why I don't like calling leftists liberals because they clearly aren't liberals.
