Haha I got them figured out, though; see above re: meat diet.

My theory is that heavy marbling is the better choice, although pork might be the best. Longer digestion times may cause bigger loads but farther between means less TP.

It's a crazy place..........

Salt? Who needs 40 lbs bags of salt at the house with winter over?   I'll assume Harry is hucking here and it's rice.

The State of Michigan just dropped the hammer:
https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-525182--,00.html

They can't go to cabins up inna woods, stores can only sell food or medication, etc.  Some of my WAN relatives are not happy.

Looks like they can go as long as they go tonight and are willing to stay there for the duration.  Isn’t there a militia in Michigan?   This revocation of rights is going a bit too far.

And the fact that, especially now, everything is recorded for posterity. I found his comments refreshing and hilarious. But it is important to know your audience. I had friend who 'broke the ice' in California with a 'n-word' joke. It was funny how shocked people were, and the joke was sort of funny, but didn't go over well with most of the group.  It was like the stylus ripped on an album. Totally silence. It was classic.

I also think old people should be allowed to speak their mind in the fashion as how they grew up. Let them have their say before this Corona-Chan unfortunately gets them.

Jared Kushner’s task force has reached out to a range of health technology companies about creating a national coronavirus surveillance system to give the government a near real-time view

Yeah. Never tell a Nancy joke in California if you’re an outsider.

I'd make an exception if the "authority" was promoting a totally untried "remedy" for COVID-19 (hydroxychloroquine) in which he and his associates have a financial interest.

On a related topic, I have a couple of maps/diagrams that give the lie to the COVID/5G connection, here.

You would think if they were going to push a “totally untried” (this is a lie, you are usually better than this), they would have picked one that was still under patent. What’s the financial interest?

It might be unproven, but it is most certainly not untried.

where are you listening, Brig?

I'll be honest- it's kind of sad for her. The little bit that I did hear her yesterday had her sounding quite optimistic and a little happy. I'm sure this Tim a a great guy, but why have her host one show?

The new owner might just maybe have found out everyone cancelled their subscription

This is my main problem right now. Tell me how many otherwise relatively healthy adults with a life expectancy of more than three months are dying. When you attribute every death in the country to COVID, it is easy to skew the numbers.

I started questioning the models when I noticed that in the IMHE models there would not be a single death due to Covid after mid June.  And one of their assumptions was total shutdown of every state through the end of May. Well not every state is shut down and the current guidelines only extend the shelter in place until the end of April.

So Trump is in a no win situation. If he recommends any lifting of the guidelines before 5/31 and a single person dies after June 19th he will have “blood on his hands”. Ridiculous.

We can’t return to work.  There is too much risk of an accident during the daily commute.

The local school district put out an email today to all parents.

This semester is strictly going to be pass/fail and it will not count in computing GPA.

A score of 60 on any class gets a pass.

GPA is a big thing in high schools here because if you are in the top 10% you are granted automatic acceptance into your choice of a state university (for the most part). And it is complicated because AP classes are given bonus points for computing GPA. An A in a regular course would be 4 points. An A in an AP course would be 5 points.

Interesting times.

Coded rang a bell. I wonder about billing, not just the dying. Billing medical codes are key, even in normal times. A keystroke wrong or a nurse-practioner or Doc calls for the wrong code and someone paying much more or on their own dime. (Or accepted as inflation for the rest of us n 'covered' by premiums or taxes.) Does COVID-19 have code for billing etc?

There is probably an incentive to code everything that Covid because the government has said all non-insured will be covered but I was trying to not get into motive. But these inflated numbers are scaring people and driving policies such as when people return to work.  My gut tells me that any rise of the overall death rate once we look back at it will be statistically insignificant.  I believe shutting down travel and doing the social distancing were effective mitigation strategies but without real data it is going to be hard to justify returning to some sense of normalcy.

No one will be held accountable.  If the death toll is lower than expected, fearmongering will be justified as an effort to get the public to take the threat seriously and dampen resistance to the countermeasures, which will be credited with the lower-than-predicted death toll.

I hope (fingers crossed) that a much lower number will cause folks to look at government, and experts, with a jaundiced eye, wary of their power, and realize that the state will reach for the stick a hundred times before it ever thinks of offering a miserable carrot.  The problem is that conspiracy-peddling chuckleheads will be in the vanguard of any counter-reaction, blunting its effect like the unwitting agents provocateurs they are.

Wait until you get a chance to look at the total numbers of deaths during March and April of 2020 and you can’t find a single death which was contributed to a heart attack, stroke, pneumonia or the flu. I bet cancer deaths will be significantly lower as well.  And then look to see how many of those types of deaths occurred in March and April of any of the previous 5 years.  The number of daily deaths because of the Coronavirus is certainly inflated in each day’s reports.  Anyone that dies of a cardiopulmonary cause right now is being coded as a Coronavirus death.

And then compare accidental death rates. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that the overall death rate is lower this year.  Until the suicides start because we are still locked down and there are no more reruns to binge watch on Netflix.

I wonder if he gets so easily riled up over a disease like AIDs (affects around 6% of the Ugandan population.)

Only if they get a shot in the butt.

"appeals court ruling states that the Los Angeles County Superior Court must dismiss the 29 counts of felony charges that range from human trafficking and production of child pornography to forcible rape of a minor."

But they will uphold all convictions of pastors jailed for holding services during the self distancing guidelines.

When’s the last time you got a vaccine?  I know when mine was. I was in the military and couldn’t say no. Almost 40 years ago.  Why do you start shit with people?

The jig is up!

That fucker is an operative. On Sunday during the press conference he went on and one about social distancing.  And then, if you watch the end of the presser, everyone from the team is filing out of the room.  He is walking behind one of the military officers and starts massaging his shoulders and pats him on the back several times.  Probably a Mossad or KGB/GRU deep plant passing on the virus to the task force members.

I sure wish they would separate Trump and Pence and not allow them in the same room. Don’t they realize who is next in line?

My guess is that California nabbed her for not paying income tax that year. She moved to Pahrump in late February and probably didn’t file a California state return.
