Radio and Podcasts / Re: George Knapp

I only made it through the first hour but Knapp was great.  A good report on the recent ISS findings which could turn out to be a major discovery for ET life.  Thank you G. Knapp!

Melt some butter in a frying pan.  Spread a layer (thin, not thick) of peanut butter on one slice of bread, jelly on the other.  Put them together as you would normally do.  Then fry the sandwich like you were making a grilled cheese sandwich.  Lightly browned on each side.  Remove, cut in half, and enjoy, wondering why you never liked PB&J before.
Sorry.  I've had it that way, many moons ago, thanks to an aunt who couldn't believe I didn't like butter AND jelly on toast, either.  It just about made me puke.  I love peanut butter but just can't take it with jelly.  It doesn't work for me.  The sweetness and consistency make me gag.  Some people don't like scotch.  Go figure.

Peanut butter & jelly, in the same jar.
I've never liked PB&J sandwiches.  I do get this craving for turkey sandwiches.  Usually very late at night.  That's why I like to go to sleep early, if possible.  Well, that, and because C2C sucks over 90% of the time.

Allright, if you insist, I'll go check it out and give you a report soon. What island did that lying haole say he was going to spew his schleck from?
I'm thinking it was Fantasy Island, Aldous.  Probably some funny looking short guy could help vector you in on a final approach.  Unless Tommy ate him.

Truer words never said. Could you throw in the black socks & sandals while we're at it?

..and crocs? they're not all that attractive on woman either. Although I do have a bit of a foot fetish..
Damn right.  Please have mercy on the rest of the world that has to look at you.  There are plenty of comfortable shoes that don't say I'm a complete dork.  And what was that Hannibal said about Clarice #2's feet?  Hell, even a fictional psycho knows a good thing when he sees it. If you've got it, flaunt it with the good stuff;)

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson couldn't make it on television today.  ;)
Hahaha, thanks Gee-orge. :))  Of course, Duchovny would have to be replaced by some bumbling, sniveling, suck-up who couldn't do anything right.  Hey, maybe... nah, he's too busy fighting to save the grid from EMP and maybe contemplating a run for the White House.

I miss the X Files almost as much as I miss C2C with Art.  Considering how much PremRad and Noory have screwed-up Coast, I can imagine how much Hollywood would screw-up a redo of X Files.  Who would they cast? ::)

Take care, guys!  Hopefully, this will relieve some fault stress and doesn't portend anything worse.  Thankfully, Noory isn't on tonight to fear-monger and screw-up the reporting of the quake.

I don't suppose the animal cruelty laws would help, either.

[Troy McClure style voice over]
Here we have a parade of lemmings marching towards a cliff.  Cute little creatures, aren't they?  But what's this?  It seems they refuse to stop when they reach the edge!  It's as if they are being pushed over by some sort of hidden automated mechanical device.  Ah, nature is a cruel lady indeed!

Now take a look at this polar bear.  He lost his footing and he's tumbling down a set.. I mean a mountainside!  It's okay, though..
[scene cuts to a 2nd healthy bear standing up]
You see, not a scratch.  It's all in a day's work for our adventurous friend.

Now here's a funny looking fellow.  A kangaroo in its native Sub Saharan Africa...
Hahaha! Great job!  That distinctive voice  was running through my head as I read your narrative.

Oh, but there is a tie-in.  I seem to recall that if you call the company he plugs and say the name "George" they will come out and evaluate your home for free and look at your needs for a generator. (that's right, a one million dollar value, yours free if you just mention the name "George" when you call 1-800....)

Certainly as of August 8th he had an interest in Generators.  I do not know if it was a one time thing because I just cannot listen anymore.
Thanks for the info.  As suspected.  It's all about the $.

I'll admit this is pretty minor, but what is with guys who are sitting at a table, leaning forward and one of there feet keeps twitching up and down at the heel?  Too much Monster drink?  ADD?  Side-effect from ADD meds?  Am I missing out on some trend, like wearing a baseball cap back-asswards?

Noory should ask what happens if power is disrupted to the freezing labs for an extended period from an EMP...
Do the customers get a refund in that case?
With Jorch's recent interest in EMP, I wonder if Jorch has a financial interest in something related to stand-alone power generators.  Stock up on gasoline or some alcohol-making contraption like that one C2C guest talks about and you're good to go.  Nah, I can't believe Jorch has put that much thought in to that or anything else.  I am surprised, though, some generator outfit hasn't popped-up yet on C2C with some commercials.  A good match for the survival food commercials.

I didn't realize it until I checked Wiki but there were only 17 episodes of "The Prisoner."  It sure left a bigger impression on me for such a short run.  The old "quality vs. quantity" saw.
#18145
Welcome back.  I like "The Prisoner" and greatly enjoy Patrick M., but not to the point I'm going to shell out a lot of bucks for the DVDs.  I've got the complete collection of "Columbo," though, and he was superb as usual in his episodes with Falk, especially in one I believe was titled "By Dawn's Early Light."  Also, definitely one of the best bad guys ever with his role as Longshanks in "Braveheart."  I despised Longshanks so much, I ended-up loving McGoohan as an actor even more. ;)

Tonite's Noory Phrase forecast:

"Absolutely.": 90%
"Amazing." : 90%
"It's a cookbook!": 100%
One Noorism which drives me up the wall is "How come?"  He says it in his usual moronic tone, with no real interest, of course.

Agreed.  The guy on the left is likely a farmer who's a bit overly fond of his sheep, if you catch my drift, and the kid in the middle is likely one of George's unfortunate grand kids.

Television writer and historian Marc Cushman will discuss the emergence of the TV drama genre during the 1960s with such shows as I Spy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and of course Star Trek. He'll outline the many ways Star Trek changed not only the face of television, but the face of society all over the world.

This will be one of those ultimate shit fests. The same tired old questions re: a subject that might be interesting twice a year provided theirs a knowledgeable host. Chris Hardwic? of the Walking Dead aftershow comes to mind.
Any ideas how many times Billy Mumy and "man-loving" aliens will be hashed over by Geeorge again?
