Since she won't be allowed in the White House, she may have to work from home.

I learned yesterday that you not only do not need a security clearance to run for president, you don't need one to BE president.
Hard to believe I know.

Art's neither on his death bed nor in any pain.  Unless he's in some real cat and dog doc in a box clinic in Pahrump.  Heather just needs something to cry over and take up dead (no pun intended) air time.

Are you kidding me? Obviously you've never had pneumonia.
That's some make you wish you were dead misery, aka PAIN.

No, the Trump University thing isn't about competency, it's about a man - standing for the highest office in your country - who conducts his business affairs as if he was a pyramid seller. At worst, Hillary was foolish, but she wasn't trying to profit from a con job.

Also, why is Hillary almost always described in personal pejorative terms? Is it possible to criticise someone without throwing insults around? Or is she a special case because she's a woman?

Yeah quick google turned up that the lawsuit is being brought by a group that donated millions to the Clinton foundation. Heh.

I didn't see this posted. So, here it is.

And speaking of COPD,  I finally went to UFOship.com
And clicked the e-cig link.

This took me to the V2 site, where I purchased a V2 pro series three and some incredibly yummy chocolate juice.

I have not touched a cigarette since.

The jury is out as to whether this is less expensive than smokes though. I'm basically sucking on the device all day long and have even re-established my age old habit of smoking in bed.

Compared the cigarettes, which I seem to spend more of my allotted smoke break time looking for a place I can light up, resulting in few cigarette smoked, so far the initial set up seems pricey with promises of ongoing expenses for juice and cartridges.

The fatter refillable Series 3 cartridges are the way to go though in terms of expense and duration on a fill.

Recently returned from a month in the UK, where I literally spent EVERY MOMENT of my allotted smoke time trying to find a "safe space".

And least that experience motivated me to get serious about vaping.

I'm impressed that for the first time in my life I have stopped smoking with none of the usual shenanigans.

I'm really not willing to give up nicotine, so there you have it.
I quickly sussed that if I am indeed going to be sucking this thing like a pacifier that I don't need the 2.4 strength juice. 1.8 is fine. And I'm looking to actual taper even lower on my next juice order.

Although obviously less risk than smoking, I'm pretty sure the risks of vaping will come out in the wash somewhere along the way.

As far as the UK, well from what I experienced on the hilly paths of rural Wales, the only sheep you'll find, look like the attached photo.

It might be of some interest that the majority of people I asked about the Brexit admitted to me, a lowly yank, that they intended to vote leave, but dared not mention this to friends and neighbors!

I bet this stuff will start being more collectible now. Mid-century is becoming quite a thing now  ;)

Or, if you're in $cientology you can spend thousands of dollars teaching them to do tricks.

Such is the nature of this forum.

I don't know that I have said much negative about Heather (I figure that there is enough here to drown in, so generally avoid it.)  However, I will admit that if I had one complaint, it would be the affectation in her voice.  Sometimes it is not distracting... Other times it can be (probably based more on my mood than any other factor.)

Not the end of the world (to me).  But it is the one thing that I would probably change.

She's trying to sound like Art Bell, and it's 100% FAIL.
That IS the affectation.
I heard her once on the Gabcast from long ago and far away. She was just a normal person back then, and wasn't annoying at all. Well, maybe slightly annoying but bearable. Heather is a CALLER no a HOST.

All he does is dangle the carrot......Art needs to drop his  name from MITD , or make a commitment . He can't have it both ways.....

Yeah, crap like this is just disappointing.

On a whim last night I tuned into MITD. I haven't done that for a few months.

There was Art Bell's voice. Was it an archived show or live? Then I heard him defending Donald Trump and saying that he WAS NOT responsible for all the racism and hate/fear mongering that has gone on in some of Trump's rallys. Huh? Donald Trump is very reminiscent of a young Adolf Hitler preying on bad economic times in Germany and getting support by instilling fear in his supporters which of course makes people act irrationally.

To hear Bell support Trump and I am NOT living in America I thought Art who used to NOT be political is not the same great radio host that he used to be. The same way your first girl friend looks thirty years later, that's how Art is looking now. Flawed. Outdated. An old angry man who hates the world.

A repeat of Bill Birnes and Steve Warner on Deep Talk Radio was on the next station that I flipped to and you know what? It made me realize that there are many people now who do better what Art Bell used to do in his prime in the late nineties. Howard Hughes, Steve Warner and a few offer a much more interesting, much more intelligent version of the old Coast To Coast.

Art, your ship has sailed. Stay on your compound and enjoy your family because right now you are the same as a hundred other broadcasters with nothing new to offer.

I'm a trump guy but theres no way he didnt know who david duke was.

Duke was major news in the 1980s and a US Senator and trump had to have heard of him- His connection to the KKK was a national news frenzy.

That said- Who cares who supports trump. Who do the Black panthers support? the nation of islam (that wants war against white people) etc... its a non event meant to hurt trump.

And is Arts so wishy washy that he will not vote for the best leader because of...reasons- Its about whos going to do the best job. vote for hillary then Art since duke is against her- that'll teach em.

-Heres an Obama/Hillary supporter. In front of hundreds he says "Stalk them...Kill them" (real quote) . Lois farakon (sp?) a major obama supporter- the announcer isnt supporting this and is a cool guy- Its protected speech (and should be) but wheres the news on this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yr7Q9KzjBKg

Did Obama condemn this? Hillary?

Well, I hadn't heard of Duke, but I wasn't paying much attention to the news in general in the 80's for various reasons.

Ah, Farakhan.. Did you know he conjoined the NOI with the Cherch of $cientology?

Hard to say who the cherch is supporting. For one, it was connections into Bill Clinton's White House that got them their tax exemption in the end. But they're more notoriously known for their republican leanings.

However, Donald probably doesn't want to extend the religious workers visas, which is exactly the only place the COS can get their free sea org slave labor in these hard times after the movie "Going Clear".

I guess Art is annoying me with his political comments because he isn't approaching this thing intelligently.
He's falling for it.

As I mentioned before, I even thought he may have turned his Facebook social media account over to lesser beings. Maybe that's just me being naive.

This is bullshit.

What Trump actually said was he didn't know who David Duke was.

When they kept budgeting him he said, send me information... iM not going to just condemn people until I know who they are.

Why would Trump know who David Duke is? I'd never heard of him until a few years ago on Jeff Rense.

Virtually NONE of the reporting abut Trump right now is accurate.
Except Adam Currys report today on the No Agenda Show.

He attended the Trump rally in Bentonville, AR. and had some great inside info.

Art, is falling for the oldest trick in the book here.
Maybe he just doesn't realize that RACE is the new gay marriage/abortion.

It's Obamas legacy.

He said in his thread http://bellgab.com/index.php/topic,1643.0.html ages ago he doesn't want to make anymore fidgets. From what I can gather, 20 years ago after taking peoples money (25k at $5 a pop) and not sending them what they ordered (fidgets) Art refused to talk to him. In doing this Mr. Fidget believes Art sent out a curse over the airwaves everywhere resulting in everything bad that has ever happened to him. He wants Art to lift the curse so that good things will start happening to him again.

I think that is it in a nutshell.

Wow, I had no idea it was that much money.

If he'd had a fight app up for sale everything would have worked out swimmingly.
Someone ought to make one.

I'd probably get it, to go alongside my special meditation.

I do not.

Must admit I felt for it all hook, line and sinker in the 90's.
It actually had a general negative effect on my life. Hopefully, you didn't know any better. But if you don't try harder now, to go deeper into the latest fear porn fest, to find the truth, then it's best if you just stay retired.
Seriously.

Read this last line. Could there be an agenda? Of course, let's not be stupid.

The Zika virus, now being blamed for the birth of babies with very small heads and impaired brains, has been around for a long timeâ€"late 1940s, early 1950sâ€"and suddenly, without warning or reason, after inducing, at best, mild illness, it’s producing horrendous damage? This is called a clue. A clue that scientific liars are lying. Furthermore, many of the women who are giving birth to deformed babies test negative for the presence of the Zika Virus.

Just a thought.

That would certainly make me happy!
I think it was the shock of everything happening so suddenly that drove me into some kind of psychological spiral where the best case scenario was just no longer giving a shit.

Holy Crap! Literally....

On the other hand, I'm almost embarrassed to say "look what I found fallen in the back of a cabinet above my stove"!! Thank goodness I only use the new stuff in the front of the cabinet!! No expiration date, any thoughts on whether it's still good? Ha ha ha! I was afraid it might explode when I found it, but I thought our vaguely loveables might want to see a bottle of Ramona's infamous "Pizza Punch". Love the dedication to Ramona on the back. It was really great on pizza in its time. Now to put on a hazmat suit to dispose of it.

Hey, if the main ingredient is vinegar I bet it's still perfectly edible.
Cute, I'd never even so much as seen the bottle before.

I heard Heather on a really old Gabcast and she was fun to listen to. She didn't pick up those annoying vocal inflections until later I guess.

On whether a woman would have to sleep with the boss to make it in the business, an old Philis Diller quote comes to mind.

She said making it to the top was easy, all you had to do was climb over the crowds of contented people at the bottom.

That's back when we had contented people, they are now known as trolls;)

I was a time traveler but I found myself not making time for the show, except maybe open lines on a Saturday morning.

Can someone tell me what the Abby Normal story was about?
I thought that was the name of one of Arts cats.

Was it a mouse this incarnation or an alien mega structure?
Could it be Angels?

I'm confused.

Nobody likes to hear affectation in someone's voice, but it's a natural defense mechanism.  Some people have it all the time, but I think for most of us it only comes out strongly when we're uncertain, like when we're speaking to strangers we don't trust.  It's like a shield to keep people at arm's length

It's was just as bad when she got the exclusive interview with him and everybody loved her for it.

So, I asked a millennial friend who's never been to Bell Gab or done anything other than tune into DMRN when Art came back.

She's been an Art Bell fan since she was ten years old, and really excited that his show was back on the air.

She had no pre-conceived notions about Heather.
I was more surprised than I should have been by her reaction.

I don't want a picture of Heather, or have any considerations about a "woman being on the radio".
But I don't like affectation. And that's all I'm getting with Heather. And it grates on my nerves.

Many of those "empty sacks of witless humanoids" don't seem to be around here any more. But still remaining are many people who legitimately wonder how and why Art chose Heather to host the show instead of someone better qualified and more talented. Don't expect anyone to feel guilty about asking this question, or to apologize for asking, because it is a very legitimate (and moral) thing to want to know.

MITD deserves a better qualified, more talented host for however long Art is away. I look forward to your thoughts and insight on this issue, because it's not going away -- even if we all get bored with talking about it, which is about where we are now.
..

The last time Art allegedly hand picked a replacement, it was George Noory. Of course years later didn't he confess that he never really chose George?
