Random stupid things on your mind. Post them.

Key to long life.  Eat, drink and be merry. Next time you want that second glass of wine or that extra slice of pizza, go for it!

...Researchers discovered that subjects who drank about two glasses of beer or wine a day were 18% less likely to experience a premature death, the Independent reports....

....Other factors were found to boost longevity, including weight. Participants who were slightly overweight â€" but not obese â€" cut their odds of an early death by 3%.

“It’s not bad to be skinny when you’re young but it’s very bad to be skinny when you’re old,” Kawas noted in her address....

When a murder occurs at a known location, can't satellites be re-wound to examine where the perp went and is?

Shhhhhh. They don’t want people to know about that.

Maybe this is why people are so reticent to give up on imperial and move to metric.

Why do we tune instruments to 440 then? ???

This is a great video!  Yes, the conventional measuring system is based in meaning.

At 10:16 I would call those mammantus clouds.  I started noting those types of little ball clouds a few years ago.  Here are some more:

Random drunken post.  I thank God I saw Yul Brynner in the King and I and Richard Harris in Camelot at the Fox Theater in the 80's.  Acting has been downhill ever since.

ROTF!!  Good one, MD.  Still the energy that Harris had onstage was phenomenal.  You should have seen that alcoholic old ass running at full throttle across the stage like he was 22.  It was a sight to behold.  They don't make them like that anymore.  RIP,  Richard and Yul.  Did I tell you about the pecs Yul had?  Shit, for a man who was 2 years from his deathbed, he looked mighty fine and well ummm I'm straight.

For those of you who are not familiar with a youtube star named Rinoa Super Genius. I thought I would introduce you all to this site. Mr Pye has been following this oddity for a few years and if he's laughing, he is watching one of these.

I am going to post two of this person's videos to show the wide variety of his/her interests.

First up, is rubber underpants made from used truck tire inner tubes. I kid you not!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmchkXFurQs&t=457s

This is his most recent attempt at building simple wooden saw horses. Spoiler alert- F bomb meltdown at around ten minutes into the video. You just don't see this quality of craftsmanship these days.

I am concerned for Mr. Pye.

Perhaps that individual should have used a tape measure or carpenters rule instead of a “measuring piece.”

Some of you may be wondering, "Why would I have any interest in this character going forward or give him/her 10 more minutes of my life?" Well folks, he/she has his/her eyes to the skies and the phrase, "maybe I'll go to work for SpaceX!" The youngster has big, juicy, liquid fuel, SpaceX plans.

So pull up a rickety sawhorse, and listen to the master plan.

Hi Juan. Thank you for your concern, but Mr. Pye's overall philosophy of life is summed up as, "If you can't laugh at yourself... then laugh at others." Super Genius rarely disappoints.

Someone tried to tell him/her to use a solid steel core framing hammer and (s)he just dismissed any such rational suggestions. If you are building a sawhorse out of recycled lumber and used nails- why use a new hammer- right?

Try making silly suggestions on his Youtube channel and see how long it take for him to tell you off or block you.  ;)

Sorry, GS. You have to admit, he is more active and interesting than Falkie. He says that Apple hired him as a rapid prototyping manager. He has a whole section of videos about that little adventure. He's back home with his mom now.

Some people do that intentionally. ;)

In the original Norse, eleven starts out as a palindrone, elle...but then something is added to the word at the end.

I saw him do a solo live stage show a few years back. I had a great time.

I saw it in Galveston but it was the same show as this:

I don't know where he gets his energy.  He's like the Energizer Bunny on speed.  He is just so damn funny and to top it off, he scorns SJW's (Like a certain George Takei). May he live very, very, very, very long and prosper.

When did a reverse hand-shake, and worse half-hug, become a thing? As seen just know in hockey? But also elsewhere? How does one determine business deals, trustworthyness, upbringing,  the toughness of future opponent, or if 'connected' without a proper handshake and looking someone in the eye?!?!

I got to see him in a record store years ago.  I think he was pushing his first album.  Anyway, the place was totally crowded and I had no chance of approaching him to sign the album because I was broke at the time.  I gave him a hopeless wave and he actually smiled and gave a quick nod.  That suited me just fine since I couldn't get his autograph.
