How did Art get away with his disappearing acts?  Didnt he have a contract like George?

The interview w Jimmy was routine.  If u hear George all the time, u dont need to hear it.  A brief discussion of Art Bell's habit of retreating so often (a rather tasteless discussion, I thot.  Making a dead person look bad).  Anyhow, there was supposed to be an announcement, but it was delayed a week. Jimmy asked about George's habits, George said he doesn't sleep much and takes a lot of supplements.  This exec trend of supposedly not sleeping much is not very healthy in my opinion.  Altho some stars are living without sleep, by having constant transfusions.  The thing is, the MIND resets during sleep, and George didn't mention using entrainment devices, so... now we know why he makes the same mistakes over and over.  Jimmy said some of the board ops pick jarring music, so he preempts them on Coast by selecting all the music.  George said he allows them to lick some music, but tells them when he is unhappy with it, which usually does the trick.

Let me get this right:  These two work for the same show, and supposedly George is at the LA studio 12.5 hours/day four days a week or more.  And yet they don't dish, in emails, phone calls, meetings?  Seems like George does a lot of dishing during interviews when I think it should be done beind-the-scenes.  There are some things listeners just don't need to or want to know!  It's like George and his staff are strangers passing in the night.

That's a really good summary, albeit I was drifting in and out of sleep.

Oh George, even as guest you're radio Sominex...

Yeah George seems a bit obsessive (defensive?) about communicating the details of his work ethic, and proud of his lack of sleep, even promoting that supplements website we all hate.

Otherwise it was a good interview, and apparently the big surprise is some inside-radio or paranormal award George is getting at this big shindig next weekend.

As hard as it was to listen to Church's first half hour, with him droning on and on about Project Blue Book, I did like his interview with Noory, and thought he was great with the planner of the convention coming up.

I listened to that interview as well, someone posted the link here somewhere.  First time I'd ever heard JC, first time in years I've heard Norry.

I'm sure JC knew the answers to the questions he was asking, he was asking them for the audience to hear.

George once again displayed his complete lack of knowledge of popular music.  When asked who he liked (or whatever the question was) he says Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles, and Paul Anka.  Very bold, George.  Wait, Paul Anka?

Then they talked about George using Sound of Silence as a bumper.  Not the Simon & Garfunkel original version, but the version by Disturbed.  They talked about how good it was, that S&G thought it was great, etc.  It's one of those covers that didn't wander far from the original, and sucks in comparison.  It's almost certain George hasn't heard the original.  He may not have heard of Simon & Garfunkel.

That explains it all. . . .a lack of adequate beauty sleep.

Near the end of this video he says he dates many, many women!  It's bound to take a toll!  Plus, if you add on the escorts you mentioned, and the Hawaii girlfriend you suspect... This is one busy fellah.

Was that Whitley Strieber that walked by behind them in that video for a few seconds?

Noory is doing another of his Dearly Departed shows tonight.
That means they play lots of parts of old interview recordings with past guests that have passed away.
3 hours of tributes so Noory can take naps...
First he has Mr Lobo on for first hour, a last minute replacement for a different guest listed on the c2cam website.

Yeah what's up with that switch

gee i hope Jorch works in that killer Lionel Barrymore impression into his live act.  ::)  i'm sure he's got a Jimmy Cagney and John Wayne that are equally good. Jorch was born too late, he would have been a huge star in the 50s and 60s in Vegas.

A new low in radio badness. Same lame stories with Mr.Lobo, including Norry forcing him to do a Jimmy Stewart impression so Norry could role-play Mr.Potter. Putting in some new bushes and now pre-recorded interviews, but not whole ones, of dead guests as a "tribute." Just as I thought Norry was stepping up his game, a bit, the suckage gets worse.

Hahaha this whole scene is so fucking bizarre, that everybody in it is old just makes it all the more sad, these 'dearly departed' shows are going to become more frequent because the average age of a Coast guest is 70.

So I'm listening to Clyde Lewis and he's got Whitley The Widower Strieber on who's totally gone off his rocker since his Annie passed away. Ghosts are now a regular part of his life he claims, Annie prepared him for this new life in her last year of life. So the ghosts wake him up at 3AM each night to meditate for some reason. Whitley regularly leaves his body and travels around, he told the story of being at one of these conferences and his soul or whatever left his body in the middle of the night and wow, what do you know, ol' Whitley found himself inside Linda Moulton Howe's hotel room. He doesn't know how but sometimes when he has out of body experiences he is invisible and sometimes he becomes visible to people - well this time Linda Moulton Howe had no problem seeing a creepy old man over her from her bed. 'She was annoyed.' hahaha I'm sure she was, she should have had you arrested you freak.  She still should, the idiot just admitted on national radio that he broke into a woman's hotel room. You can imagine the police interviewing the wingnut 'Ms. Howe says she awoke in the middle of the night and was startled and terrified when she found you in the dark standing over her bed. How did you enter her room Mr. Strieber?"  "I was having an out of body experience, I pass through solid doors and walls." He claims he floats up and through ceilings 'And that is quite scary let me tell you. It's not like I have a parachute."

I blame Art for enabling this pathetic idiot

Norry is 67, almost 68.  Have you looked at the market for 68 year old men?  He has invested much in toupees, botox, and it is rumored one complete facelift.  Yes, Norry, I will give him this is well-preserved.  .. .like a fossil.

He could buy someone if it came to that.

And they forgot to "lift" half his face.

And the botox got put in his ventromedial prefrontal cortex.

Damn, I missed Jorch's Lionel Barrymore impression.  Maybe I should be a Coast Insider again. :P  I wonder if his Walter Brennan impression is any good.

If you really desire with minimal effort one can usually 'find' the shows on the interwebs, torrents, or youtubes in the next few days. Often commercial free. Someone with a lot of time on their hands or a mental defect should make a compilation of his impressions: Sinatra, Durante, Elvis, Barrymore, I know I'm forgetting more...

It's comforting to know George will be there to bore all the shut-ins for today's holiday

Happy Birthday to George's Mom!

That was cool having her on the radio, George. She sounds like a sweet lady. God bless her heart!

NoMoreNoory

Joorch brings Momma Noory on for her 89th birthday, who sounds lovely, and repeatedly calls Our Hero 'honey'. And a new moniker is born.

Jorch brings his 89 year old mom and asks her the WORST thing about being 89 as his mom answers seeing family and friends pass away  :'(

WOW then Happy Birthday! Jeeze way to bring the room down George. He's like the last guy you want at a celebration. Noory would toast a wedding by reminding everybody of high divorce rates.
