It is strange that BG was on top of this stuff from the get-go. Way before the MSM or our government (officially.) I recall posts about all the new strains many months ago. As with our predictions for lock-downs, maskings, and restrictions- when the WHO and the diminutive Dr.Fauci was claiming "nothing to worry about" and "no masks" and so on.

Having said that, we also should be hoping, like with many viruses, that the new strains become less lethal or even end up 'killing' itself off. This assumes the Chinese, or whomever, don't make and release more artificial manipulated versions.
Don’t worry, W.H.O. is on it.

This back of the envelope (or as the Brits say 'fag-pack calculation') calculation also assumes a static US population but ignore the promises of Biden to throw open the border, even more than the current policy! And that locked-down people don't get more comorbity by being shut in and eating more crappy food. Luckily I'm not in a comorbidity, knock-wood, but was "asking for a friend" and the place was empty so figured I'd ask. Oddly, I know some people who got the jab but they were 'front line' workers and, so far, no contraindications or problems. One though is recently married, so we shall see about the having a family situation in the coming years.....
Yep, bottom line is I wouldn’t plan on getting poked with ease anytime soon.  By then, it may have mutated into something requiring things to start all over again.

I wonder what the 'numbers lady' can do with his nickname, prior to changing his name: "Xandy."

And if he would punch her for doing so?
Xandy... Xandy?  Are we talking alien influence or what!  Ladies of woo, Numbers Lady, and Clyde Lewis, get busy, child!

John Howland came over on the Mayflower as an indentured servant, serving the first Governor, John Carver. Howland served as Carver's executive assistant as he governed the colony through its first winter.”

Did Fillmore berate his young, teenage daughter for being fat? Did he like to punch people and paparazzi? Were they ever seen in the same place at the same time, maybe doing some rails and sharing some groupie in a motel room?
This is why Dave needs to put one of his many women of woo on this, to figure this all out.  In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was already a lady of woo specializing in The Many Life’s of Millard Fillmore.  Dude was probably an Eqyptian Pharaoh who communicated with aliens from Zeta Retculi, at a minimum.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a Pilgrim who worked with aliens.   ;) ;) ;D

This isn't getting as much exposure as it should. WHO seems to be in cahoots with a lots of bad folks.

Just went by the local pharmacy for kicks and asked "when can I sign up for the jab." The pharmacist laughed but said some gibberish about 'levels' and you can sign up online- 'they won't accept showing up in person' - but that 'it didn't matter because it will be weeks since we actually get it.' She also 'wasn't' sure which vaccine they will get 'maybe in late January.' But it is a crisis.
I ran some numbers, based on data supposedly as of this week.  Based on the current 1b criteria, with 53 million Americans over 65 or older and 110 million with comorbidities, which apparently includes supposedly over weight folks of ANY age.  Assuming at least 35 million at 65 or over have comorbitidies and are included in that group, let’s say there are approximately 140 million total in 1b, alone, almost half of America.  What, 20 million in 1a, maybe?

Assume 160 million, at least, in 1a and 1b.  As of 1/11/21, 9 million have been vaccinated, with a mix of one dose and some, but many fewer, at 2 doses already.  Being optimistic and assuming the vaccine supply increases some, assume that they could ramp up to 30 million a month, starting by the end of January.

1/11  9 million total
Mid Feb. 40 million total
Mid March 70 million total
Mid April  100 million total
Mid May 130 million total
Mid June 160 million total

So, based upon a crap load of probably optimistic assumptions, you’re looking at the start of Summer before even 1a and 1b are vaccinated.  One thing that helps the rate, of course, is just how many decide NOT to get the vaccine.

Have at it for your back of the envelope assessment. :D

Politics / Was Alec Baldwin really Millard Fillmore?

Are dead guys eligible to be impeached? If so I'm down to impeach Millard Fillmore the 13th President. Always hated that Mother. Look at his Alec Baldwin, fat, smirking, face:

Only became President because Zach Taylor ate a bunch of fruit, got the green apple splatters and died. Part of that "No Nothing Party" that hated everybody, delayed the Civil War long enough so that my ancestor got killed in it. Oh and his wife looked like that guy from House M.D. in a bonnet.

Ha!  It’s uncanny how much Millard resembles Baldwin, almost as if only a slight photoshop was done.  But, noooo!

Maybe Dave Norway can have Baldwin on as a guest to discuss how he’s really Millard reincarnated.  If Baldwin decides a last minute trip to Boston is suddenly necessary, maybe Dave can have one of his hundreds of woo ladies on to discuss her psychic communications with Millard and how much he was looking forward to showing up in Hollywood.  Dave should like that.

I’d really miss seeing CNN at the airport, if I hadn’t avoided flying for years now, due to the complete cattle car experience it’s become, even way before Covid.  I’ll just keep driving until the Dems either put us into complete lockdown or outlaw driving to save the climate.

LOL.  With the way they’ve set up the requirements for getting in early on the vaccine, at least in Texas, I’d  say at least around 75% of the population qualifies, with supposedly being overweight supplying around 60% of the candidates.  In other words, it’s a big joke.

K_Dubb needs to revise his “fatties” thinking.  It comes with perks in Texas, in the age of Corona Chan!  Also, if Albrecht isn’t already a chubster or over 65, he needs to start packing on the sardines and BBQ, if he wants to get vaccinated in Texas sometime this decade. Washed down with liberal doses of Hamm’s, of course.
