Quote from: albrecht on March 01, 2023, 03:21:25 PM...Good news though! The 'Numbers Lady' back for tomorrow!
Ha! Praise be! The only thing better would be to hear the Numbers Nut is sharing a "sphlit" show with Doc Wallet. ;) ;D

Quote from: albrecht on February 23, 2023, 04:43:54 PMDave had the usual lame Secret Door program, XV, last night. One caller with 1st splitsch show guest said "you ruined C2C. Long live Art Bell."
I listened to part of the local replay of that show last night, just to find out if they'd cut that part out. Sure enough it was completely gone. The only thing left was the next caller saying the previous caller "was a liar." :) GNS

April 6, 2013 - a date which will live in hilarity.

Joe: "Who's taking the George Clooney car, since he can't make the parade?"

Bill: "Two schmo's I've never heard of. Here's a sign I just printed out. Grab that roll of 3M blue tape and slap it on over the Clooney sign."

 ;)  ;D

That sign still makes me laugh.  ;D

Go to 4:15 and you can see Jorch and Tommee, with the infamous makeshift sign flapping in the breeze.  ;D

Quote from: albrecht on August 17, 2022, 02:57:54 PMSomewhere I got a photo of TOMMEE and Dave in a parade riding around in a GTO (I think, I might be forgetting make) and stunned people look like "who the F are these people" and "when can I cross the street." Children wondering looks like what the heck was going on, and why. I recall some make-shift signage held on to the car by blue painter tape, so coming off, and also horses in the parade took a large crap in front of them. Pasadena or somewhere maybe. It was bizarre.
Ah, yes. The infamous Burbank parade, with Dave and Tommee as last minute substitute guests. I don't have the video or photos readily available but there's this from the C2C site.
"George Noory and producer Tom Danheiser rode in the 32nd annual Burbank on Parade, this past Saturday, April 6, 2013."

I love the video that looks as if it was shot by Zapruder, of JFK assassination fame.

Sounds like just another night with Dave Norway.

Quote from: albrecht on August 16, 2022, 06:11:45 PMI'm "all in" for eggs, despite the "Doc." Actually his exhortations tended to me wonder about the incredible, edible egg. But the sheer quantities are questionable, unless on a bet in some kinda Southern prison. Which, I have to admit, had good hazing ideas. Nothing cures an attitude (well, it didn't, I guess in that case) like digging a hole- your potential grave- and refilling and dig back again, again. And the heat. The shed I think got a coach fired (though he claimed some sort of 'dark place good for concussions. Hahaha.) And wowsa the gal deciding to wash her car! She knew what she was doing!
That's a blast from the past. ;)

It could be Norry has had a medical event or is really hitting the sauce early. Slurring, ending shows early, technical problems with phones, repeating same questions over and over, etc. "Of course, its true" that this is normal but it seem to have accelerated recently.

Quote from: K_Dubb on August 14, 2022, 11:58:07 AMThis would never have happened if Trump were still president, he'd hog all the vaccine orders and shove the dumbass eurofags out of the way like he did for covid and launch Operation Warp Speed 2 and sail the hospital ships Comfort and Mercy into San Fran and Seattle where hot Navy corpsmen in their dress whites would line the rails brandishing needles and we would meet them all smiling in our tank tops, it was our fleet week last week anyway, would have been great! #Fuck Joe Brandon
Heh, heh, heh.

Quote from: albrecht on August 13, 2022, 08:14:00 PMThere is odd ruminations here. Suspect. Rum always assocatied with violence. We don't need this at a SardineFest already a flamed over avavit and imported Hamn's- and decriminalized drugs. I say no rum, at least with flavoring. Some might get ideas of the lash or even sodomy and build an Empire/Navy. Not good.
Hamm's and sardines. The bedrock of a civil civilization.

Quote from: pate on August 13, 2022, 07:28:07 PMThe Admiral gets fine reviews:

https://rumratings.com/rum/10-admiral-nelson-s-premium-spiced

I had no idea that the Admiral produces this fine looking product:

I will have to put in requests at my favored suppliers to ensure that this obviously superior product is available next time I need mojito ingredient restocking.

For those snooty itchy gay-types I see that he also makes:

A premium Coconut-flavored version;  as well as Watermelon, Premium Raspberry, Pineapple, Cherry Spiced & Vanilla versions.

I wonder how the Premium Gold & Black Patch editions stack up next to regular Admiral's?

I had no idea of the Admiral's wealth in variety!

-p

Let's see. "Easily consumable in a bind."

Hmmm, I guess the S&M types could go for it.

Of course, what was I thinking.  Hopefully you'll be a little quicker on your pogo stick, hopping down the road for the Admiral's. Nothing but the best booze for us aficionados of fine live art. At least we won't have to be concerned about the itchy gay guys bumming our booze, since they'll no doubt have better taste.

Quote from: K_Dubb on August 13, 2022, 02:58:19 PMI shuld have moved to Yellow Springs, I could be dipping my toes in the millpond with an honest Young's Dairy ice cream cone instead of sitting here itching like a fiend

Absolutely. Paradise! Then you could have feasted like a king, having breakfast at the Clifton Mill restaurant, before taking a leisurely stroll through the bucolic downtown streets of Yellow Springs, contemplating just how beautiful the towering Maples will be this Fall.

OK, I have to run. Albrecht just reminded me I need to pick up some Dean's French onion dip. Watching gay guys itch is a bummer without enough dip for the Ruffles. I hope Pate doesn't get lost in the drive-thru again, picking up the booze.

Quote from: K_Dubb on August 13, 2022, 02:24:26 PMIt was recognized early on by some of our loudest activist types that well-intentioned sensitivity was a problem and our own public-health officer was quick to address the gays, though now for some reason we are "MSM" which I am used to seeing meaning something else not entirely unrelated.  Posters in all the bar bathrooms next to the ones with HIV, we can have wild ten-man monkey sex but it has to be the same ten men every time, you guys just don't see it because it is not for you.

The sad thing is, gays were the most-vaxxed population of all during covid, I have seen figures as high as 96%, we are used to relying on shots for all kinds of horrible stuff.  Had the FDA acted swiftly we'd all be vaxxed by now and it would be over.  There are the makings of a large scandal here for the anti-Sleepy Joe types but you'd rather sit and watch us itch and laugh at us :(
OK, I don't have anything else better to do tonight. I'll go watch some itchy gay guys.

Want to come along Pate? You bring the booze and I've got half a bag of Ruffles laying around here somewhere.

Quote from: albrecht on August 13, 2022, 11:50:56 AMMany of these activities would seem to be 'public health emergencies' (or at least private emergencies) even without this latest Monkey-derived VD/Pox situation.
Quote from: K_Dubb on August 13, 2022, 11:15:00 AMThe latest is people are driving to Canada to get the vaccine no questions asked in Vancouver (though BC now "strongly discourages" the practice) because the criteria even with the five-split doses mean thanks to concerns with equity you basically have to be a manwhore or homeless meth user to get it here.

You have to be exposed or gay AND have one of the following:

Sex with more than ten people in three months
Syphilis or gonorrhea in the past year
Meth use in the past month
Bathhouse or sex club in the past three months
Homeless and had any sex at all in the past three months

I'm pretty sure I haven't had sex with more than ten people in the last 30 years. For sure, it wasn't all at once.

Quote from: albrecht on August 12, 2022, 12:37:50 PMShe might clutch those pearls in fright if she reckons with some listeners, even the "Doc," thinking about what do with her in the mist tunnel after a meal of 20 runny eggs.
What are the odds Ms. Julie has ever listened to one minute of a live Noory broadcast? Let me rephrase that... "a not quite dead Noory broadcast."

"...It's true that possession of recreational drugs was decriminalized in Portugal many years ago, but buying and selling is still very illegal and will definitely get you in trouble. There are many "dealers" operating in the tourist areas but they all sell fake goods. You will not find real drugs on the street unless you know someone..."

Sounds like we need to take Jackstar with us.

Quote from: albrecht on August 11, 2022, 03:44:03 PMWorking on some House Members to reinsert an old Welk Proviso into the bloated tax and spend Biden deal. Hiding that the polka and sardine budgetary item will be spent in Portugal but have experts pointing out Portugal has liberal drug laws and so maybe the "Big Guy" supports to help his son get away there, to sober up etc.

Heh, heh, heh... now you're thinking. The "Save the Sardines" line item.

Sagres and Super Bock are both fine beers. By fine I mean just OK.

Just OK? We demand cheap excellence! After all, we're hated 'mericans. ;) Don't forget to bring your big cowboy hat, Albrecht.

Quote from: albrecht on August 10, 2022, 10:29:29 AMVino verde or some kind of white wine. I will stick with smuggled Hamm's. I plan to get it through customs by telling the local police it is only cocaine coke.

I'll just tell customs then my Hamm's is some canned cannabis oil.  It's not like we're going to Russia or something.

Quote from: Juan on August 10, 2022, 01:41:43 PMI listened to a little.  He only advocated eating three eggs at a time. Soft, runny yolk.  He was also muttering and mumbling more than I remember.  Sounded geezerly.  Like George's more high pitched voice lately (or maybe he's not producing the low overtones.)
Sounds like Tangy Tangerine Time.
