Jeff Rense!

Dark Side Of The Moon

Does anyone remember when Sightings With Jeff Rense had it's own network of stations? Why was this whole controversy in the 1990's about Rense's Anti-Semitic language brought up? Art Bell as I remember had Rense on about this issue, and tried to quell it. What's the deal?

BobBlahBlah

I'm not sure why nobody on this site really mentions Rense. His show is always in the top 5 most listened to on my Shoutcast App.

I always wonder what the deal is with Rense's show as it sounds very amateurish. Audio is way low on his guests etc etc. But he does have the odd good interesting guest on. I just find it to have a weird feel to it.

I like Rense and listen to him fairly often. But, yes, the production value is pretty poor for a show that is so established. His gain is always real low, and when  a commercial comes on it BLASTS through the speakers at 2x's the volume. I wonder if he even knows. Or cares...?

I tried getting into the Rense show YEARS ago and quickly tired of it. Havne't gone back. Must have been over 10 years ago or more. I think it was before Art left the first time. Rense is pretty glib but not much substance there and he seems disingenuous. Phoney, even. But maybe I was too hasty. Nevertheless, I couldn't take any more.

If only George had Jeff's hair.

Tarbaby

I don't know if I've ever seen anyone with hair like Rense. Except maybe Harpo Marx.

And by the way, I haven't listened to Noory for about 12 years either. Before I ever ran across this forum I had learned I disliked Noory all on my won. So wasn't surprized to see all the haters here. I don't even read any of the threads about him because that would mean I cared somehow.

Funny you should say that as I've fallen asleep listening to Rense, and nearly jumped out of bed startled due to the commercials BLASTING.  Does he broadcast out of his basement is my next question. He should inspire the average Joe wanna be broadcaster as he has pretty much no skills as a broadcaster and has made a decent lengthy career out of that show. It sounds more like he's just having a casual conversation with someone over the phone.

It appears that Rense's first topic tonight is "Hitler visits Oprah":

I have no idea what is up with that but fear the worst

I used to listen to Jeff Rense nightly up until about 10 years ago.  He went from an all Paranormal show to a nearly all Conspiracy show and that stuff just drives me crazy.  He still has UFOs/Bigfoot/Ghosts, etc. on Friday shows so I usually check in to see what is on.  In the 90s his show was a great companion show to Art's show. I would listen to Rense for three hours and then Art came on right after that.  Unfortunately, Rense decided to follow the Alex Jones type agenda and I pulled the plug on his show.

DanTSX

If you can filter out the anti-semitic crap, I think he puts on a very interesting show.

I used to think he was boring, but Snooron has changed the definition of boring around completely.   He has a few guests that I will not listen to, but on a whole, his show is much better than C2CAM, and very well done entirely.  Some very interesting and rarely visited topics.  He has a good pragmatic approach and attitude when he isn't blaming Jews for everything too.  He gets into topics at depths and detail that are never permitted at C2CAM
or any other show due to low commercial content, and being an informed and interested host.

I can understand how some people will not tolerate him, but I'll take the good with the bad.  I can always change the channel very easily.

Man - Rense has Webster Griffin Tarpley on right now and Tarpley is foaming at the mouth tonight.

I think he is gonna stroke out with Cruz and Trump finishing 1, 2 in Iowa.   Plus David John Oates is up next.

For what it is worth someone has thrown up some torrent collection of old Rense circa late 90's. Some good shows. Frankly I had forgotten that, at the time, he was doing so much paranormal etc also. Some funny 'sphlit show format,'  as Norry might call them where he has a guest detailing commie take-overs and meds causing school shootings to a guy in MD who, with his uncle, is chasing some kind of cryptid nightly (who also tore the snout off a neighbor's police GSD and causes another neighbor's dobermans to 'cower in fear'.) They build a 40 foot tree stand and are trying to capture images of it (though they also have guns "for protection.") Good stuff.

albrecht

A recent, somewhat bizarre show with John Barbour (who Norry kicked off some time back) but also praises Ben Hecht and his zionism and Rense agreed with praises for his screen-writing prowess and hopes Barbour's book does well. An odd episode. That included Rense wondering about Barbour's phone app alert "sounding like a marital aid, not that I have one but seen some movies."

I want to point out that might paraphrased a bit and I'm only commenting such for sake using whatever legal reproductions for education purposes only and cast no aspersions on Rense, one of the few shows/hosts who can handle some "topics" not frequently discussed, allows guests to talk and doesn't react in some crazy manner or interruptions, and is keeping it old-school in terms of html etc website design!

Oddly Rense doesn't get much mention here, seems to off a lot of radars these days.  A big shift from when Discovery's halo effect  basically made his career.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Rense

In 1994 Rense self-financed a radio show on Santa Barbara's KTMS. The show was originally broadcast as Sightings on the Radio, the title being a direct reference to the television series Sightings. Around the year 2000 all references to Sightings were dropped and the current title was adopted.

The show was originally distributed by Premiere Radio Networks but was dropped in the late 1990s due to being banned in Europe as deemed being hate speech. Talk Radio Network then carried the show through the early 2000s. Genesis Communications Network next took over distribution and carried the show through August 2009 until being dropped by the station after Rense accused fellow GCN host Alex Jones of threatening to "destroy" him.[6] Jeff Rense Program is now streamed through Rense's personal website.

Hello Dan... Thank you for your concern. I was not 'fired' because I was never paid by GCN. I was letting them have use of my program in exchange for commercial minutes each hour. This is all about Jones...who called me at home last Tuesday afternoon just past 1pm and threatened to "destroy" me (and my family) over the well-written story by Brother Nathanael Kapner researching and seeking to understand the reasons why Jones is, and has long been, pro-zionist and an unabashed apologist of zionist Israel and its genocide of Palestinians...and generally steers people away from AIPAC and the Rothschild City of London banking monolith which controls so much of the Western world. The story is available here at Real Jew News Note how the article cites direct quotes from Jones' own PrisonPlanet message board. I also, as the world knows, always encourage and post legitimate rebuttals to stories. Matter of fact, when I told Jones to stop threatening me on the phone, he maniacally (no exaggeration) roared in his guttural, Neanderthal voice: "I'm not 'threatening' you...I PROMISE you I will destroy you!!!" Never in my life have I been terrorized like that and it is my personal opinion that such behavior is mentally deranged and unquestionably dangerous. While this took place, my partner heard him bellowing and raging and screaming on the phone and she was shocked and stunned...as am I. The many stories and allegations about his abuse and threatening of others in this business would seem to be accurate, at least as far as I am concerned. I have filed a formal police report against him for interstate terrorism and threats. Within an hour or so of his phone call, Ted Anderson emailed me notification of 30 day cancellation of our broadcast agreement. Jones has bragged to me and others that he "owns Ted Anderson's

Wow, talk about some back-story!

The feuds, lawsuits, and even confrontations of "conspiracy" shows can get crazy. Rense, Alex, Cooper, Piper, Blood, Marrs, Stadtmiller, etc etc all seem to have various networks and feuds. UFO and Bigfeet "community" also have their feuds and dust-ups but, generally, overtime have settled down into a quasi-newagey acceptance of all theories/beliefs.

Yeah that's unfortunate.

For those up later, looks like Rense will have Gerald Celente on tonight: https://rense.com/

Few can piss and moan about the state of the World as well as Celente can.   ;)

But he advised our former Gov Connally- or accosted him once in an elevator or something but also predicted his death?  :o

And bought some old building in some small town in NY or NJ, I forget, because, somehow, "It's A Wonderful Life" type of renaissance is going to happen, at some point.

Nah, watching game and then when I want Rense I want a more positive outlook and guests (like vivid descriptions of ZA farm murders/rapes/tortures and the implication of diseases brought in by our illegals, strangely coupled maybe with some Mario Lanza songs.)  ;) :(

It's Kingston, NY which has been deadsville since IBM left.

Ha!   The disease lady is great!   :D

Indeed. I like Rense's show and his guests. For fun and history of him being old school and still broadcasting. But, don't get me wrong but, wow, sometimes shows are disturbing. I was listening to the "disease lady" the other day while at the grocery store and decided not to buy some veggies -noting the label of origin- and looked askance at some questionable looking folks speaking an odd dialect that didn't even sound like Mexican "Spanish!"

Ha. Kingston, NY. What next is Celente going to revitalize the old Kodak towns by buying up stuff?

It seems that in the past few years Rense has gotten into an unfilled niche radio market for at least one segment a day. Basically, old, bitter, outraged ladies who can't stand illegals (diseases and crime,) pitbulls (they attack too often,) Muslims (how they treat women and want to kill us,) communists/socialists (destroy countries and then the immigrants come here,) and most young people (trained into socialism with their awful public schools but have $600 iPhones and don't even watch where they are walking!!")

It is refreshing change from the ill, old ladies of Norry or the "angry white men" of most other political talk shows.  ;)

He has been around forever but no, I think, only internet based. And doesn't seem to do as much of the paranormal or UFO as he used to. But still good, though content will offend "some" sometimes. But his voice and manner is great: he can be detailing the upcoming holocaust, global spread of ebola, and financial collapse of the world's economy in a calm, mild-mannered way. The exact opposite of an Alex Jones style host.

Yeah I dig that about him. I go back to when he was on "Sightings". The website is still a hot mess to read, but it's also packed with news that you may not find elsewhere in the paranormal verse. I have to see if I can find an archive of his shows on my digital radio.
