I watched the new Star Trek: Renegades movie tonight on my Smart HDTV.
Lots of action and featured actress Adrienne Wilkerson, years back she played Xena's daughter.
In addition to Tim Russ as Tuvok and Walter Koenig as Admiral Chekov, Robert Picardo also appeared in  hologram form as well as another "Voyager" character Ichib an ex-Borg.  Admiral Paris from Voyager also appeared.

My parents didn't believe that she was in Xena.   I told 'em not to doubt me and who's been in Xena or Hercules: I watched both series about 3x while doing my thesis work.

FYI on the new Star Trek movie: I tend to agree with the gist of the reviews.  In that it's good if you're a trekkie.  You can find so many bits and pieces from different TV series and episodes, pieces of history (check out Chekov's wall), and you can tell that those who worked on it poured their hearts into it.

But, it was not the best of movies.  Most characters seemed to require a paragraph of dialog the first time they spoke to explain their backstory (to be fair, the first X-Files movie did this, too, which I thought was similarly eye-roll-worthy).  There was one scene where you could imagine the script saying, "Camera looks up, pans from left to right.  Cast looks busy."  We saw lots of slow-mo flashback of the main rebel character towards the end that really did not accomplish much plot-wise relative to the time it took.  The CGI was hit-or-miss with some being excellent and on par with Hollywood (the ships, Icheb's arm weapon) while others were quite bad/cheesy like the fires in the opening, subspace collapse effect in the sky over Earth, or planets winking out with a flashbulb effect that looked like it was done in Apple's Keynote software.  The Starfleet Captain in the Archer would never have made it to Captain based on how every series has established Captains should behave.

As a trekkie, I'm glad I saw it, I could generally get past the negatives.  My dad, I think, was the same once put in perspective this was a $375,000 Kickstarter-funded movie.  My mom couldn't sit through 'til the end.

  I watched ST:TAS and Law & Order, too, along with MST3K.  I needed something in the background that was mindless that was still mildly entertaining and I could occasionally look up at from my laptop if there was a visually interesting scene.

My thesis writing was Tool, Zeppelin, Kubrick, Sergio leone, Shane black, And a once a week all nighter at the local bar with my roommates drinking dollar yuengling, playing tabletop ms. Pac man, and then after a few shots rubbing our bumms on people (dancing)

Noory has his science advisor.  Hoagland has Voyager's science officer (edit:  Tuvok wasn't really the science officer).
