This is a good one, but maybe call it Shadow Hours since the show is longer than 60 minutes.

I don't care for the Dark Matter name either but my guess is many will just call it the Art Bell show anyway.

I never really liked the name Coast to Coast AM either, the name of it is probably the least important part of the show.

I'm not thinking of anything much better though, how about the Art Bell Show?

I thought that the first time I saw that referenced also. Furthest thing from my mind when I think of Art. And no matter what Art even calls it, I think most will simply call it the Art Bell Show. I still do that for C2C involuntarily.

"Dark Matter" makes me think I'm about to listen to an autopsy report of a badly decomposed corpse. "Matter" is a term used by pathologists and it almost always connotes nastiness. I've read too many autopsies which say things like, "There is semi-gelatinous dark matter seeping from..." Just let me stop there.

I really do not care what it is called.  I did hear Don Eckker on the Paracast in the past couple of weeks and he said that he intended to bring up the name issue with Art since Don hosts the Dark Matters radio show.  The hosts kept saying everyone should listen to the real Dark Matters show with Don Eckker.  I guess I will leave that up to the lawyers for the two companies.  In reality they are two different titles Dark Matter vs. Dark Matters.  I am just happy that we have Art coming back under any name.

That's interesting.  Ecker started a paranormal show about the same time as AB.  AB got syndicated and made it big; Ecker didn't.  Ecker has done LOTS of investigating on his own (and I mean actual investigations, not just reading stuff and interviewing), while I get the sense Art has done very little, if any, of his own investigation.  Ecker has a good critical mind and is a tougher interviewer than Bell. That being said, Ecker's show isn't really in the same league as Art's.  His shows these days are made up almost entirely of clips of older shows he's done.  When he has a good guest on, he's great, but he's a bit spotty.
