Does anyone else wonder if Church is going to stick it to Coast on Sunday?

I think it's a combination of nostalgia and the confidence that if the grid fails and society goes to hell, you as a Ham radio operator will still be able to receive vital news and information from outside of your little compound or community.  I think it comes down to the self-sufficiency ethic.

That and it can be an intense hobby. But all the HAM operators I know are heavy talkers. They will move heaven and earth to get to their radios first thing in the morning to shoot the shit. It's a different breed of person - they have their own conversational style that permeates their personal lives, and it can drive non HAM operators nuts. It's like, ask a lot of questions to keep the conversation going indefinitely, and at all costs. They'll talk your ears off. It's almost like they get lazy and barrage everyone with pointless questions they already know the answers to. There's that age where kids start asking questions until it makes you want to jump out a window? That's what it's like being around a HAM.

The Dark Matter Network was established as a Forum to showcase new Talent and as a place where after my two Year Non-compete was done (In July next Year) that I could begin streaming live, it was run by Keith Rowland and of course a alternative to Coast. In the last few days I began getting email's from many of you who could not believe that one of the Talk Host's on DM was invited to do a Guest Host gig on Coast. This was done I am sure to irritate me which it did, however the straw that broke the camels back was that Keith did not have the courtesy to call me. When I called him, his response was "don't worry he will stay on DM and Coast". At that point I decided to pull my Web Page and asked Keith to remove my name from the site. This is not about Jimmy Church, I wish him all the luck in the World, this is about trust in relationships.

Where this leaves me in terms of where I can stream a show now is a open question. What I do know is I have to be able to trust the people I work with.

"Trust in relationships'?  'Trust the people I work with'?  What bull-crap.  He has known and worked with Keith for how many years?  And to just throw him under the bus?  Really?

In other words Art Bell quit Dark Matter because he got tired of it after a few weeks.  And made up a bunch of excuses for it.  He never intended to return, and gave himself 2 years to find a reason not to.  (I guess I should add:  all this is IMO)

What, he was going to do podcasts?  YouTube videos?  Did any of that ever make sense to anyone?

So what someone from DM hosts a few weekend shows.  What's that have to do with anything.

Speaking of trust in relationships and trusting people one works with, it seems to me Keith has been taken advantage of by someone who never intended to return

I don't get why Art would be mad at Keith for having a host on the DM network that also ends up doing a stint on c2c on the weekends.  I'm sure it's just as a fill-in, .... probably Dave Schrader and George Knapp are unavailable and they had to scramble to find someone else.

Wouldn't that be classic: UFOShip.com picks up all the good DMRN shows (if there are any beyond bateman - I don't listen to it) and Keith Rowland is left with nothing!

I think Art was relying on Keith and his past relationship with him for the new show. Now that their relationship is gone I'm not sure Art will have the heart or will to start it all from scratch with a new partner.
