Pat "One Day At A Time" Harrington, Jr., 86 (1929-2016)

R.I.P. Schneider

The maintenance man at the apartment complex where my college girlfriend lived was a Schneider clone.  Greasy, sleazy and always on the make with the coeds.  One of the girl's boyfriend was a heavyweight college wrestler, apparently he had a "discussion" with the guy about showing his female tenants more respect and keeping his hands to himself.

RIP Schneider, awesome show and character. Korean vet too, who knew? I loved this show when it was aired in real time. I've made Schneider jokes and references my whole life but I don't think I have even seen this show since the early 90s when it used to air at 4-5am on a local channel.

Atleast, he was old and lived a full life. Bonnie Franklin (Anne Romano) died a few years ago. Too bad they didn't do a reunion years later like what they did with ChiPs or The Dukes.

RIP Pat / Schny.

We want you ALL to be a part of this memorial service.

So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends. GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us.
Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.

Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday 9th and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.

If you’d like to make a charitable donation under Lemmy’s name, please go to:

Man - that dude gave me nightmares when I was just a lad.  I think I bought a ticket for the Muppet Movie and then turned left when I should have
turned right inside the theater and snuck into see Phantasm.

Bruce Campbell had some nice things to say about him:

Suddenly, I realized... I actually thought he was going to live forever.

Hey droogie don't crash here.

It was also just his 69th birthday the other day.

The brilliant David Bowie is gone. Huge loss. So very sad.

And Keith Richards lives on.

When I was 17, 1972, Ziggy Stardust came out. At the time, and not unlike much of my high school coureer,  I and a dozen friends, guys and girls, would "skip out" together, habitually, smoke pot and listen to music. We played that album (among others) every day that whole fall and winter. It was and remains quite singular, stand out, a mile-stone record. And that _is_ saying alot, actually, given all the fabulous music of the late 60's and early 70's that we all had in our bones already. You _Really_ had to be "different" and exceptional, to stand-out so sharply, amongst and against that background and pool of talent.

Hail Bowie!
Immortal thine Art!

Wow! Such a huge talent and personal inspiration to me that I'm at a loss for words. First Lemmy and now this. The world just got a lot darker  :(

Little over one week into the new year and we've already lost Lemmy and David Bowie.  Fuck 2016.

A music legend and one of my Heroes. Shocking and sad news. R.I.P.

This has had me a mess since the news broke very early this morning while I was at work. Never has there been an artist I've listened to and researched as much as Bowie. I've been an obsessive fan since high school. There's never been a human on this earth that had the impact on me as a human and a writer he did. There are very few men for whom it can be honestly said that the world is a lesser place without them. I feel if there are any, Bowie is one of them. He will be truly missed.
